Copacabana is one of the most famous neighborhoods of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Located on the south side of the city, Copacabana has a beautiful beach in the form of a moon so called Princess of the Sea because its gold decades of 1930, 1940 and 1950. Neighborhood of glamour and wealth, Copacabana led to many songs, books, paintings and photographs, becoming a tourist reference of Brazil.

The neighborhood is full of good restaurants, movies, banks, synagogues (traditionally houses the Jewish community Rio), shops and

 

theatres. However, from the decade of 1960, the growing fame attracted more residents than the area can behave so comfortable and Copacabana became until they fill the tall buildings with tiny apartments. The place has become a microcosm Brazilian, uniting families of different classes in that piece of land squeezed between the sea and mountains.
